Mossy Bushes by Miles Woods
Find some moss that grows on the fir trees in the woods or forest. If it is crushed or flattened it does not matter.
Fill a small bowl with water and soak the pieces of moss for 2-3 minutes.
Remove the moss one piece at a time and shake the water from the moss, squeeze it in paper towel until semi dry and shake again. Push a pin through the root end of the slightly damp and fluffy piece of moss and push the pin into some foam or card board to dry.
If you would like to color the moss, place a damp piece in a plastic sandwich bag with a small amount of acrylic paint. Squeeze the bag until moss is fully colored. Remove it from the bag and push a pin through the root and place on cardboard or foam to dry. |
