Bobby Bruce (fiddler extraordinaire) started his fiddle career on the vaudeville stage with his mother and sister on the Orpheum Circuit in the 1930’s.  Enlisting in the Marines at 17 he served in five major campaigns in the South Pacific during World War II including Iwo Jima.  For five years in the 1950’s he played fiddle with Leon McAuliffe in Oklahoma.  In the 1960’s he played on the Lawrence Welk Television Show.  During his career he used his violin to create sound effects for Hanna Barbarra cartoons.  The list of artists that Bobby has recorded with for the last 30 years reads like a Who’s Who of music including Bob Wills, Willie Nelson and Henry Mancini.  Don and Paula are extremely grateful to Bobby for sharing his immeasurable talents with the Valley Villagers.
Bruce Johnson (electric bass) is the owner of Johnson’s Extremely Strange Musical Instrument Company a one-man and one-dog enterprise.  Bruce builds all the instruments himself and has developed a line of scroll basses he is quite passionate about.  Please visit his website at www.xstrange.com .
