The Band
Don Barbier (vocals, acoustic guitar and mandolin) has played the guitar since he was 14 years old.  While at Texas A&M University in the early 80’s he alternated sets with Lyle Lovett.  His hidden passion was the mandolin, which he picked up three years ago, and won third place at the Topanga Banjo and Fiddle Contest last May.  Don holds two masters degrees from the University of Southern California in business and acting.  He’s currently unemployed and looking for work.  One of his greatest joys is teaching and sharing music to young children as part of the Single Parents Night Out ministry at his church the newly renamed Faith Presbyterian Church of Valley Village.  He and his wife Paula are active parents to four dogs (all rescues) Quincy, Millie, Dixie and Tito.
Paula Barrett Barbier (vocals) sang her first bluegrass gospel solo at her church almost two summers ago and got hooked on singing with her guitarist/mandolinist husband Don.  Their passion is listening to live music and they have traveled all over California, Tennessee, Texas and Arizona to Bluegrass, Swing, Jazz, Rock and Country concerts.  This past year they saw the Grand Ole Opry, Ricky Skaggs, Willie Nelson, James Taylor, Eric Clapton and Simon and Garfunkel.  Paula supports this habit through working as Script Supervisor on the number one television drama show in the world, C.S.I.: Crime Scene Investigation for the last five years.  Paula has worked 21 years in the film biz on hundreds of feature films, television shows and commercials but has enjoyed her job the most when she got to work with music greats Willie Nelson and Roger Daltry.
